Enforcing Causal Reasoning Faithfulness via Discrete Intermediate Representations
In standard monolithic architectures, reasoning generation and answer readout share an entangled parameter space and continuous hidden activations, allowing models to bypass explicit logic and emit answers derived from latent parametric shortcuts (readout unfaithfulness). This research proposes a Sequential Dual-LoRA Architecture that physically decouples thinking from solving, establishing the reasoning trace as an inspectable, discrete Intermediate Representation (IR) that enforces a strict causal bottleneck.
